Sharing The Love of Cars

November 23, 2022

After Taking grandkid to car museum he was hooked.  He was already a new car guy.

He was so shocked by the older cars, well the fact that he thought they were cool normally he loves just new sports cars. He names alot of the cars that drive pa⁷st. He walked up and down each roll of cars asking all kinds of questions about each car soaking in every word we said. Learning some of the differences between the different year models different shaped headlights and tail lights. Heard him later on the phone talking to a classmate about the differences he had learned at the museum(showed he payed attention).

We had to laugh when he saw a Delorean he didn’t realize it was actually a real car that people drove not just a movie prop and no it doesn’t fly lol.

The museum also had a small gun collection was shocked when he was naming all the different guns asked how he knew what they were.  His answer video games. Well that’s one way to learn I guess.

Also had the chance to take another grandkid to a car show.  He got to walk around and look at all the cars and talk to the owners of the cars.  New cars and restored old cars.

One really neat one was a 1903 Oldsmobile. Grandson talked to the owner for a long time and he was nice enough to let him sit in the car so we took pictures.  He was proud to gt the chance to set in that old of a car.  Smiled ear to ear. Was  proud moment for all of us just seeing his reaction was worth the trip.
